Rebellious Wellness believes that all bodies have a place. We work with you and your individual goals to find ways to care for yourselves mentally, physically and emotionally. Rebellious Wellness strives to create a safe space for individual to explore their stories, their body image and heal from the pressure and messages of diet culture.

Rejecting diet culture

Rebellious Wellness takes a non-diet approach, embracing the idea that our worth is unrelated to a number on a scale. We will work together to challenge the idea that you need to change your body to be loved and into a place of food freedom and body neutrality.

We invite you to take a few moments to reflect the following statements

I view certain foods as needed to be earned. I feel overwhelmed if I cannot compensate for eating certain things. *Compensating refers to any act to cancel out what was consumed through means of skipping meals, throwing up, exercise and others.
I tend to make sure what I eat stays under a certain number of calories each day.
I find myself spending a lot of time criticizing myself in mirrors, reflections or photos and refer to myself as having negative body image
I have a hard time concentrating throughout the day as my thoughts tend to revolve around food.
I label food good or bad, healthy or unhealthy, and feel extremely guilty when I eat something bad.
I try to make sure certain foods are not in the house because I feel like if I eat them, I won't ever stop.
